Hey Maniacs!!
I'm back and extremely excited to finally be blogging again!! And recently I've been reading such amazing books, and I've all loved all of them, so I just wanted to share my love for them with everyone.
'Cause I don't know about you but these days, all I wanna do is just curl up in a cozy blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book to read....... Hmm.....Perfect........................ Oh! Sorry, I kinda got lost there in the moment.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is honestly one of the best YA fantasy series I have ever read! They arr exceptional and so so so worth it!!
So basically Six of Crows is the first book in a doulogy which is set in a fantasy world and we follow around these six characters, which also have the chapters from each of their different POVs. It is set in the Grisha universe, which is also the setting for the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and thats a pretty awesome book too, but getting back on the topic, these six characters are all commissioned to go on this heist. The heist pretty much covers the plot of Six of Crows (1st book), and in the second book (Crooked Kingdom) we see the consequences and the aftermath of this heist where the characters have to face much more dangerous and aweful adventures.
I thought that the first book was Fantastic!, but then I read Crooked Kingdom and it was a Whole new Level. The writing is sharp, quick witted, and quite funny at times. This book tackles so many difficult topics: it talks about oppression, it talks about sexuality, slavery and in such a respectful way that its refreshing to read it in a YA novel.
(This was the Spoiler-free review, and if you would like to have my in-depth thoughts, I'd love to do that too, so tell me in the comments about it)
Through each chapter, we get to see the backstories and personal development of each character, as well as their realtionship with each other. And if you know me, you'll know how much I love character-driven stories, and this is definitely one of those. Don't get me wrong, it is very action-packed......there's a lot to the plot....... there's so much to the world.....BUT the characters are what make this book truly special.
They are fantastic in terms of representation, for example their are characters of colour, disabled characters, gay characters...and it's so wonderful to see such diversity. This series truly means so much to me, they're so well-written and so well-developed, and I'm just so happy that they exist.
So if it wasn't clear enough, I highly, highly recommend this series. I literally just want everyone to read this and love this as much as I do!!
So if you liked this review, or this book, don't forget to tell me in the comments down below, like and subscribe to my blog. Also, I'd love to hear from you, tell me what I should read next..........
She'd laughed, and if he could've bottled the sound and gotten drunk on it every night, he would have. It terrified him.
