Hallo Leser!!! (Hello Readers!!)
I’ve come here to you with another great book’s review. Now this one was a completely random pick from a friend’s book shelf, and I’m certain that every single on if you is going to simply love this once you give it a try.
Beautifully written and with no hint of pretence whatsoever, it is real and original to the core.
Praise for the Book: “Hosseini is a truly gifted teller of tales.....he’s not afraid to pull every string in your heart to make it sing”- The Times
”A gripping read and a haunting story of love, loss and betrayal. Guaranteed to move even the hardest of hearts.” - The Independent
This book completely destroyed me, it was so emotional and hauntingly true and I loved it so so so much. It is one of the few books that made me cry, and highly recommend picking this one up. It was so... raw and and just *takes deep breath* wonderful, incredible...and all the other nice words that I can't right now think of!!
Set up with a riveting ploy set in Afghanistan from 1975, all through the Russian, the Taliban rule till its final liberation. It's a coming of age story of Amir, a young boy desperate to win the famous kite-flying tournament. His best friend Hassan promises to help him win the tournament and it could turn out to be the best day of his life... except it does not.
It turns out to be the worst day of his life, because that day, Afghanistan 🇦🇫 changes forever...
(On the occasion of Friendship Day, an ode to the best portrayal of friendship in the world)
Happy Reading!!
